Just a post to say hello from North Yorkshire. We have been caravanning for about 15 years but after a lapse got a Familia 3 years ago. Recently upgraded (?) to a 430 and maiden voyage is in the planning stage. No doubt we will be seeking pearls of wisdom as time goes on!

Hi Oscar and welcome (although not a true Eriba newbie I see, having had a familia for a while!) Bet you are a bit lost now in the 430 with all that extra space.

  planning is great fun, have just finished planning our trip next week....we're off on August 30th down to Spain.... we're stopping in Winchester on the way to Portsmouth..as it's Bank Holiday and one can never tell with the traffic.  We're catching the ferry to Ouistreham on 31st.

We love our 430...we leave the bed up permanently and use the front table for dinning when inside....we have an Isabella sun shadow with wind block nets for the side and front we use this most of the time on the continent.

Have the best times:lol:

We shall be breathing your dust, off on 12 Sept, not sure where yet, but it will involve France and Spain.

 have fun...how long are you going for this time?  As I recall you usually stay away for quite a while.   This time of year France and Spain are lovely and not too crowded.  My hubby retires in April next year....looking forward to a longer trip April - July then.......For now we have to be home for mid October

3 months, back mid December, we do April to July as well, though this year by early July it was really hot 43c at one time.
We both retired 5 1/2 years ago so have had the time to meander around Europe, seen some beautiful places and met some great people, hope to keep going till the caravan gives out or we do.

Hi, Very new to forums and looking to adopt our first Eriba. We are looking for a troll 4 berth as we have two children. Is there anything we should look out for if and when we find one. With the budget we have we are looking for years 1990-2000 possibly slightly newer. Can't wait to find one as we have had to use a tent after selling our campervan!

Troll 530 or above are 4 berth.  Good luck with your search....have you looked at Automotive Leisure's website they usually have all sorts for sale.

We are keeping an eye everywhere, Having a small budget is not helping (around £4500) and also the fact that my sister already has one!

Hi JKVW, we have a Troll 555 and this has a fixed double in the back and a long cross wise seat in the front, a front dinette that can be made into a short single (I'm 5" 4' and fit in it) so two litle ones could sleep one across the front and one in the single. Then when they get a bit bigger, there are poles that pull out and extra seat cushions that means the whole front area can be transformed into another double!
