Just bought a new Troll 530GT from AL in Poole; our first caravan! We now have to sell our beautiful T5 camper to pay for it.  So if you know anyone that is looking to buy one please get in touch. Back to the Troll - will I really need to fit an electric motor mover? Lots seem to have them, so advice in this regard would be much appreciated. Adam.

I have a Triton and I can move it fairly easily although it depends on the ground and where you park it up at home. Mine is in a tight spot and no way I would get it in without a mover. For the ease of manhandling I think movers are worth their weight as if you have bad back/leg etc or are going anywhere alone it makes life easier.

I have to keep it in a big barn with smooth concrete floor due to lack of off road parking at home, so sounds like it should be ok there. Might just be tricky on wet grass pitches?

I have owned three eribas, a 1000kg Triton, 1300kg Troll and presently a 900kg Famila. The only problem I have had in moving is at home. I have VERY tight access/clearance into the garage, only 20mm or so each side up a slightly inclined gravel drive. For this reason only am I having a mover fitted when I get my next van.
I have never had an issue on site getting a van moved. I have either had room to keep it attached to the van, or if looking a bit stretched soon been surrounded by helpful volunteers to push and pull as needed.
If you can safely move the van around and get it attached to the car ready for your holiday I would hold fire on thoughts of a mover for the moment.

Thanks Colin.  You might have just saved me £1,200.

I am on my second Eriba, the latest a new Triton 420 Gt, had both fitted with a mover.
Although quite light and easy to move on smooth firm surfaces a lot of sites insist you
park on the pitch draw bar in, on some of the gavel and even on grass it can be quite a
chore to get on and off these pitches. Enjoy your Eriba.

When we had our Puck, it had no mover, then we moved up to a Triton and had a mover put on it when we bought it, and our current one we had one fitted, for free !!!!  They're brilliant, we've managed to move Nellie up really steep slopes because we had a mover and it even got us out of a sticky hole when we had to disconnect from car on a 1 in 4 hill (horses / stupid woman in car refusing to budge caused us to stall and unable to pull upwards) it was so steep had laid across towbar until ready to move off and slowly got Nellie into flat gate way - they're brilliant !!!

We've had 2 Tritons , the first without a mover and the second with. OMG the difference it makes. I used to start every holiday with a sore back as mauling the van off the drive aggravated an ancient slipped disc.  The Triton was manageable, just, although I'd have thought a Troll would be even heavier. Plus it makes getting that pitch position just perfect so much easier.  But I suppose they are quite expensive, our new van came with one but whether we'd have splashed out and bought one I'm not sure.
