We have a 2019 Eriba Novalite 470 caravan and a led downlight bulb in the lounge skylight surround has failed. I took it out and is says Dometic 70313 70280. Does anyone know where you can get these. I have emailed two Eriba dealers so far and not got a reply. Regards Michael Rose

Michael, I suspect the unit will be a generic fitment and not just one of an Eriba/Hymer, as it has the Dometic code on it. Whilst the dealers should be able to get the part in, they would put a hefty mark up on it and parts generally take at least 5 to 6 weeks to arrive at the dealer from Germany. I would look at another supplier, starting with leisureshop Direct. I put the code into the search facility on their website and the first set of numbers showed a Dometic spotlight, which is actually a very attractive price for such a quality item and bodes well for if they stock the part you require. https://www.leisureshopdirect.com/electric/12v-caravan-lights/internal-lighting-12v/dometic-spotlight-70313 They would definitely be worth a call.

Colin, Thanks for your reply. I think its pretty poor that two of the main Eriba dealers in the UK have not bothered to respond to my emails. I will try the company you suggested. A few companies in Germany sell these bulbs and at reasonable prices but because of brexit will not ship them to the uk. Regards Michael

I can understand the dealer problem. In the UK Hymer and Eriba caravans have not necessarily been sold by the same dealers. Franchises have also come and gone, some dealers only lasting a year or so with service being very poor in some cases. Add into the equation the way Hymer/Eriba treat it's dealers and it is not a good recipe.

Hello Michael, I have a 2023 Nova L 465, I'll have a look at the downlights in mine to see if the Dometic part number is the same as yours as they may be the same light with an upgraded part no.

The downlights in my lounge area are labelled EDI Light, Austria. 12V 2.5W, and in the bed area they are labelled Dimatec, again 12V 2.5W but these are dimmable - although controlled via a switch and not a dimmer.

I suspect Dometic's lighting products are now sold under the Dimatec brand.

As Colin mentioned above, these downlights are fairly generic and if I were you I'd change all four so they match lumens
and colour temperature.
